Weinstock Law, PLLC

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas of law does your firm specialize in?

+

Weinstock Law, PLLC is a full service personal injury and workers compensation law firm. We handle mostly all types of cases arising from any type of injury. Additionally, we maintain a large referral network to attorneys and law firms that we have developed relationships with over the years and who work in various different legal fields.

How do I schedule a consultation with an attorney at your firm?

+

Just give us a call to make the arrangement at your convenience. An attorney from our office will be happy to discuss your potential case with you.

What should I bring to my initial consultation with an attorney?

+

It is important to bring all documentation that you have to date (Police reports, Accident reports, Emergency Room records etc.). Our office will always be able to obtain any other items we need on a particular case, but having it from the client at the beginning enables us to give the most accurate consultation.

How long does the legal process typically take?

+

The resolution of your case can take anywhere from a couple of months to a couple of years. There are many factors (too many to list) as to why. However, when you speak with one of our attorneys and describe your potential case we will be able to give you a more tailored time frame.

What is your firm's approach to communication with clients?

+

The approach is simple: The clients are treated like family. As such, our client have access to our attorneys and paralegals at all times possible via cell phone. If a call, text or email cannot be responded to that minute, it will be returned within a matter of minutes. Not days, not weeks and most certainly not never.

How often will I receive updates on the progress of my case?

+

Certain actions on a case will prompt our office to contact a client to give an update and share important information. Aside from that our clients know that they may call, text or email at anytime to get an update. Typically we are communicating with our clients at least once every two weeks on their cases.

What is the likelihood of success in my case?

+

No law firm can guarantee the success of a case. However, when we take on a matter for a client we do so knowing that we can and will do everything we can to make that case successful. After all, we only get paid if our clients do.

How much involvement will I have in my case?

+

Every case and every client is different. Some clients tell us they want to be involved each step of the way. Others prefer that we ‘call the shots’ and run with it. Regardless, the involvement from each of our clients is their choice and they will dictate that involvement. Most importantly only a client can approve a settlement on a case, not any of our staff or attorneys.

What is the best way to prepare for a court appearance?

+

Whether we like it or not, appearances do matter. For a court appearance you want to appear as professional as possible. Most clients do not need to physically appear in any court throughout the life of their case. Our attorneys will meet with and prepare any client who is appearing for court well in advance and give them all the information needed to make the best possible impression.

How does your firm handle cases that go to trial?

+

We are a trial law firm. We do not send off cases that are on the calendar for trial to any other law firm or bring in any other attorneys. An extremely small percentage of cases actually do require a trial but rest assured that Weinstock Law, PLLC will stay on the matter and conduct the trial if needed before a judge and jury.

What is the role of a paralegal in my case?

+

Our Paralegals are an essential asset to the success of our law firm. Paralegals draft many different documents for attorney review and also handle many of the various tasks necessary to our (and your) success. You will have the same access to the paralegal assigned to your case as you would with the attorney.

How does your firm handle confidential information?

+

Confidentiality is at the heart of what we do. Every employee of Weinstock Law, PLLC understands the importance to our clients of having a lawyer and law office in which they can confide information and give the upmost trust. Our office also maintains a state of the art case/file management system of which access is tracked and all contents are protected.

What can I do to help my case?

+

The most important step you can take to ensure a successful case is to listen to the advice of your Weinstock Law, PLLC attorney. If you have any questions, ask. Your attorney will guide you through every step of the way and will have the best interest of your case in mind always.
